Founded by researches/professors Shuji Nakamura, Steven Denbaars and James Speck of UCSB, Soraa developer of LED and laser-based lighting and projection display Technology. The company utilizes unique Technology relating to the growth of Gallium Nitride wafers to create high efficiency blue and green lasers and LEDs. Soraa has raised $5mil from Khosla Ventures.
